A place of rest, renewal and restoration

Many pastors work 6 to 7 days a week up to 15 hours a day. Much of their time is spent giving counsel, visiting ill church members in the hospital or at home, attending board meetings, conducting weddings or funerals, acting as administrators, creating sermons and being on call for just about anything that is required of them. Just think of the drain pastors must experience physically, spiritually and emotionally because of the demands placed on them and their families.

Now imagine a place created just for pastors and their spouses. A place where they can be ministered to for up to 4 days in a small intimate setting without having to worry about paying for a single thing. A place they can rest, be renewed and restored.

CFAA is in the process of developing this special placed called “The Pastor’s Sanctuary”. The location has been secured in “The Sanctuary at Costa Grande” in Port O’Connor, Texas. Our goal for completion is the end of 2013. Plans are underway for this 6000 square foot villa which will feature 3 private suites each with their own private bath for pastors and their spouses. This villa will also house a library and full game room.

At the Sanctuary, pastors and their spouses will be able to do just about anything their hearts desire. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Read a book while laying in a hammock under swaying palm trees overlooking SanctuaryLake.

  • Go fishing on Espiritu SantoBay, which interpreted means, “Holy Spirit” Bay.

  • Visit one of Texas’ oldest light houses while visiting a beautiful beach on a secluded island which is only accessible by boat.

  • Play a game of tennis

  • Go kayaking on Sanctuary Lake or in one of the surrounding bays.

  • Take a couple of beach cruiser bikes for a spin on the beach.

  • Have a picnic in the on-site park next to the lake.

  • Take a relaxing boat ride in the bay and enjoy watching the dolphins play

  • Enjoy the beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the bay
