Tools!

Two days ago I was riding my bike and found channelock pliers lying on the side of the road and I did what I have been doing for years, I stopped and picked it up. Tools are much like spiritual gifts, if not in use, they are like a lost or misplaced tool. Tools are designed for usage, not show. We need to understand that part of being a Biblical steward is utilizing the tools that God has given us (1 Cor.12:1-ff) for His glory and honor. You might be thinking, well I don’t have any tools from God! If so, why don’t you take some time and ask the Holy Spirit to show you your tools (gifting) and start learning how to use them, because your disbelief could be misinterpreted as you calling God a liar! God says that His kids have at least one gift (1 Peter 4:10), He doesn’t want us to be ignorant about His gifts (1 Corinthians 12:1), and that He has given us tools to be used for His church (Eph. 4:11-16) and elsewhere (Matt. 28:18-20). Why not begin today by looking for the tool(s) God has placed right there at your fingertips. Use your God-given tool; don’t lose it for someone else to pick up.
