The New Normal

Merry Christmas!

What an exciting time Christmas is! Christmas is actually a celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Many would say yep that’s right, but have you ever thought about the birth of Christ as the “new normal”? A “new normal”, what are you talking about? Well for centuries, God’s people had been waiting and watching for the Messiah, Prince of Peace, and the Savior of all mankind. But did you know that Jesus was to become the “new normal”? The normal had been faith in God, through a right walk with him, basically the following of religious rules, many of which man had blown out of proportion. But God had a “new normal” that He had placed within His plan since before the foundation of the world. A “new normal” that would allow man to become re-united with the Father again! This “new normal” is not the old, old story, but a “new normal” every day. A normal, where God is in control, just look up and count your blessings one by one. A “new normal” that allows a creator God, as Savior God, through the Sprit of God to dwell in us and lead our lives for His glory and honor. Truly a “new normal,” His mercies are new every morning! So this Christmas, don’t let the “new normal” become an old normal, embrace the gift of God through His son Jesus Christ, and the difference He can make, by increasing your life beyond the normal to the new normal- Merry Christmas.
