Affliction = Comfort

Is there a difference between the comfort of God and living in comfort?

According to 2 Corinthians 1:3-7 there is a big difference of living in comfort and the comfort of God that follows affliction! Consider for a moment the economic challenges that Americans are currently adjusting to- Health care issues, Bank foreclosures, Retirement shortfalls, Mortgage disaster, etc. What if our current national affliction is a result of the consequences of living outside of God’s statutes and commandments?

The value of our current affliction becoming an avenue of comfort that God can use is truly the difference between the comfort of God and living in comfort.
